Here's something I drew awhile back but it was too big and my scanner had a mental breakdown. I made it a bit smaller and scan-worthy. About a year or so ago at work, I was opening up the building and was on my way down the hall when I spotted a spider that appeared to be dead. To me, the spider was big enough, but I thought I'd throw it out in nature where it belongs. I picked up a scrap piece of paper and a styrofoam cup and started to scoop it into the cup. Then the spider, who was either sleeping or playing possum, started to move. I panicked, but quickly scooped him up, ran to the door and threw him outside. I hope he survived. Anyway, I marveled at the size of the spider, even though I know that there are much bigger ones out there.
Here's the idea that made me draw:

Sketcharoo!
It has been a looooooooong time since I posted a photo on this here blog! I was in the mood to draw, but while trying to find a blank page in one of my sketch pads, I discovered some drawings of the past. They weren't from the distant past, they were pretty recent, or at least within the last four years. I was feeling a bit sad and discovering those drawings made me smile and laugh.
Here's one of me relaxing on some sunny beach. It could be waves there, crashing onto the shore, or maybe some weird creature of the deep sea coming up for a meal.

Illustration Friday: Tall
I haven't submitted for a long time, so I drew this for this week's topic. It is supposed to be a tall tower block at a time of day when the sky is dark but still light enough to see. Can you spot the helicopter?

Simple sketch
I created this sketch quickly but something about it appealed to me. I think it has something of a Jesus-like quality to it but when I titled it I must have been thinking differently because I called it "nutter".
